As a member of the Metro Series, this timepiece embodies the urban lifestyle of city life, both in its appearance and in its sturdy construction. Right on the first glance you can tell it's a Metro Series member by the case design. Tank-shaped and larger in width than in height, the Axis stands out from all its colleagues, but it shares their larger than life attitude. This is a watch to be worn by the strong and confident, and by those aiming for the top with every intention of getting there with style. The Axis features a very unique skeletonized dial. Its sunray pattern leaves little behind, but what's left form baton indices that function as hour markers. This timepiece has a classic three hand mechanical automatic movement set inside a curved case that was blanked from solid bars of 316L surgical grade stainless steel. To compensate for the curvature of the case, the Krysterna crystals, a material used exclusively by Stuhrling Original that is more shatter resistant than sapphire, have also been curved. For additional comfort, we fitted the Axis with a tapered, high grade silicon rubber strap.
